- 2/5/07 - 1st home study visit
- 2/12/07 - 2nd home study visit
- 2/26/07 - 3rd home study visit
- 3/30/07 - Home study completed
- 4/9/07 - USCIS received our I-600A form
- 4/14/07 - received fingerprinting appointment
- 4/25/07 - Fingerprinted at USCIS
- 4/30/07 - Waiting Child List came out! Found Lai Fu Tao!
- 5/2/07 - Formally requested to adopt Lai Fu Tao
- 5/23/07 - Approved by Hope to adopt Lai Fu Tao!
- 6/07/07 - DTC (dossier to China)
- 6/12/07 - CCAA received our dossier and LOI (letter of intent)
- 6/13/07 - LID (Log-in date)
- 7/13/07 - PA!! (pre-approval)
- 9/12/07 - LOA (Letter of Acceptance)
- 10/01/07 - TA (travel approval)

Oh, Gosh, you guys are making me cry! Danielle is such an amazing gift and the situation couldn't be any better since you seem to know and already understand her so well. This picture will be one you will forever hold close in your heart. I know I sound sappy, but I just couldn't be happier for you and Steve (and Stephanie & Liz too). Darcy and Steve, you are such wonderful and amazing people to tackle such a task - I mean the paperwork, the home visits, the million questions, etc. Little Danielle has to be one of the most fortunate little children I have ever met (either here in the States or elsewhere). Can't wait to say hello. What do you think about letting some of 'us' - your friends - throwing you a small Welcome Back/Congrats party. We don't want to overwhelm the baby, but definitely was to acknowledge this important step in her life. If you're up for it, let me know. I'll head it up - just give me names, #s, and email addys - we'll take it from there!
